How do I apply for assistance?
The contracted funeral home performs the initial review to determine if the final arrangements will be fully or partially paid by the legally responsible family member, legal agent, or other community entity.

The contracted funeral director will only contact the Public Fiduciary and submit the application for final eligibility determination on estates that appear insolvent after the completion of family interviews, income and resource verification, and alternatives to county aid have been fully exhausted.
