Phoenix – The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors seeks applicants for appointment to the position of West McDowell Justice Precinct Constable. Constable Rudy Santa Cruz has retired, leaving the office vacant.
Constables execute and serve warrants, protective orders, summonses and subpoenas, and other justice court orders including evictions. By law, the appointee must be a Democrat, like Santa Cruz, live in the West McDowell Justice Precinct, and be a registered Arizona voter. The Board of Supervisors will fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term which ends December 31, 2022.
Applicants should send their letters of interest along with a resume to the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 301 W. Jefferson, 10th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003 or ClerkBoard@maricopa.gov. Applications will be accepted through Friday, March 26, 2021 at 5pm. All applicants will be subject to a background check including a financial review.
