The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is conducting a planning study of Riggs Road from Old Price Road to Arizona Avenue. Pedestrian and Bicycle facilities are developed sporadically along this section of Riggs Road, resulting in gaps in connectivity for pedestrians and bicyclists as well as challenges accessing facilities. The purpose of this study is to identify and prioritize Active Transportation needs along the corridor and evaluate existing pedestrian facilities for compliance with the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design (2010 Standards).
