The 711 ft. Deer Valley Road Bridge is now open to drivers! On Saturday, August 6, 2022, the Maricopa County Department of Transportation celebrated the opening of the new connection in the Northwest Valley with Maricopa County leadership, representatives from the City of Peoria, the City of Surprise, nearby HOA's and the community.
We’re building connections that improve people’s lives! Check out this NW Valley connection that helps improve traffic flow, provides emergency vehicles with a direct route to residents living in unincorporated Maricopa County, and provides a shorter drive time between unincorporated Maricopa County and the City of Peoria.
The Deer Valley Road project (TT0248) constructs an east-west arterial crossing the Agua Fria River. The project widens and extends Deer Valley Road and Williams Drive across the Agua Fria River for 2.5 miles from El Mirage Road to 109th Avenue. Other improvements include storm drain installation, drainage basins, landscaping and irrigation. Click here Project Overview to view an aerial exhibit of the project area.
