Medically Certified Volunteers Needed to Assist with the Administration of the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) Vaccine
The Maricopa County Department of Public Health Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is recruiting volunteers to assist with the administration of the new COVID-19 vaccine to our community and our community health partners. If you are medically certified to provide routine vaccinations (RN, MD, EMT, Paramedic, etc.) with a current license in good-standing and would like to assist in this great community effort, please register to volunteer here: www.GetInvolvedMaricopa.org.

- Maricopa County Funeral Assistance Program
Maricopa County Funeral Assistance program provides help for grieving families who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and have recently lost a loved one. Families can qualify for up to $1,200 to be applied to burial or cremation services at a participating licensed funeral home. Maricopa County Funeral Assistance program is available between 8 AM-5 PM, Monday through Friday (except holidays). Apply online or by calling 602-240-6384. Technology and Utilities
- Arizona Public Service (APS)
APS has established a temporary customer support fund to provide residents a $100 credit if they are experiencing a financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Income or crisis verification documentation will not be required. - EveryoneOn
Connecting low-income families to affordable internet service and computers, and delivering digital skills trainings. - Salt River Project (SRP)
SRP will not disconnect customers during the COVID-19 pandemic and is waiving late fees during this time. If you are experiencing difficulties paying your electric bill during this time, please contact SRP as soon as possible. - Southwest Gas Corporation
Southwest Gas is suspending disconnections indefinitely.
Volunteer
- Get Involved Maricopa
Volunteers from various backgrounds across the public health, healthcare and mental health spectrum are needed. Non-health community volunteers are also welcome. We are currently seeking medical professionals that are licensed paramedic or higher level as well as non-medical individuals that can assist in other duties. Other volunteer opportunities which are expanding during the response include a logistics team assisting with the pick-up of PPE, our COVID-19 call center team, and assisting a local fire department on low-acute calls to assist with the surge. - Arizona Together
There are other ways to serve with your time and talents during the COVID-19 outbreak, from providing virtual support to delivering food and medication, even helping with daily tasks for people who live alone. - Local Food Banks
In addition to cash and food donations, local food banks need volunteers. Locate the food bank nearest you and contact them directly to find out what opportunities are available.

Blood banks are critically low and healthy individuals are encouraged to donate.

Arizona food banks and pantries are in desperate need of volunteers and donations.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Donate PPE and Other Supplies
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), we have activated a Donations Management plan. You may donate the following PPE items:
- Surgical Masks
- N95 Respirators (Masks)
- Isolation Gowns
- Face Shields or Goggles
- Exam Gloves
Additional supplies are also needed, including:
- Thermometers
- Hand Sanitizer
- Paper Towels
- Disinfectant Wipes
To arrange a time to drop off a donation, please call 602-506-6767 to make an appointment and directions to the designated drop-off location.
NOTE: This location is only accepting the items listed above. For other donations during the pandemic, please coordinate with the Salvation Army or other charitable organizations.
