Through the Empowered Youth Leaders program, youth will have opportunities to participate in challenging and interesting learning experiences, engage in leadership opportunities, and build on social skills, all while improving the health of their own community.
Youth, ages 14-17 will be working in their own communities to develop and implement a health improvement project focusing on tobacco use prevention and creating healthier communities throughout the 2023-2024 school year.
The youth and youth leaders will be meeting once a week virtually using zoom. There will also be meetings in person periodically throughout the year. The day and time for meetings will be determined based on the group’s availability.
