Mobile Onsite Mammography (MOM) in May!
We know it can be difficult to find the time to schedule an exam. That's why Maricopa County offers Mobile Onsite Mammography screenings for employees. MOM uses the latest technology and accommodates implant patients.
Maricopa County medical plans cover the cost of a preventive mammogram for women as early as age 40, every one to two years, or at any age for women at risk, when recommended by a physician. The medical plans also cover 3-D Mammograms for breast cancer screening.
Like the 2-D mammograms, 3-D mammograms are covered at zero cost share if they are part of your in-network preventive care. Check with your healthcare provider to determine which type of mammogram (2-D or 3-D) is best for you.
Visit the Wellness Works website for the MOM schedule. Call 480-967-3767 or 800-285-0272 to schedule an appointment.
Employees are encouraged to participate on non-paid time and coordinate coverage, as necessary, with their supervisor.
